Being a grandmother of seven little ones that are seven and under has been very rewarding and so much fun!!!! Of course as a photographer I'm excited to get those newborn sessions done in the first days to get the peaceful, sleeping, milk coma shots that aren't quite as possible to get after the first week. With the exception of one these seven, I was able to capture these moments within the first 4 days. It is amazing the difference it makes! In the studio I am prepared with extra heat, heating pads, soft blankets that are easy on their very tender skin, ready for extra feeding time, diaper changes and all that is necessary to get these sweet and peaceful shots!

I cherish my babies! They are certainly huge blessings in my life!!!! Watching them grow and recording it with portraits to pass down for the generations to come is very important to me. My great-grandmother passed down a portrait of my grandpa as a baby that is very special to me and I want to do the same, in printed form and not stuck on a computer or cd that 100 years from now can't be accessed......this is why printed portraits that I can hold in my hand are so important to me!
